The climate risk landscape is often couched in terms of insurance, physical risk, transition risk, and discussions are heavily skewed towards the developed world and corporate perspectives. This panel will explore climate risks and opportunities related to the developing world, government risk and the local point of view.

Join the US state insurance commissioner leaders of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) Climate and Resiliency (EX) Task Force to discuss regulators’ views toward climate risk disclosure reporting; financial regulatory approaches to climate risk and resilience; innovative insurer solutions to adaptation, resilience, and mitigation solutions; and the role of state insurance regulators in resiliency.

This panel will explore the role ESG plays in a firms’ strategic direction and the reality of setting a transition strategy. It will also look at how firms are responding to the current political climate in the US and globally and the influence this is having on ESG policy and regulation outlining the ability this is having to implement effective ESG strategies.
