BDA Looking For Marketing & Communications Coordinator

The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA) invites applications for the role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to serve your country and join a dynamic and close-knit team dedicated to the important mission of growing and diversifying Bermuda’s economy. Reporting to the Director, Communications & PR, the successful candidate will assist in planning, developing, and executing strategies and campaigns designed to further the BDA’s goals and objectives. Other responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in creating and maintaining marketing and communications materials, both print and electronic, including key messaging, press releases, social media content, ad campaigns, newsletters, website copy, brochures, and email marketing
  • Monitoring analytics and create reports to detail outcomes and impact of initiatives
  • Working closely with stakeholders, partners, agencies, and third-party suppliers to build meaningful relationships and support the delivery of projects on time and within budget
  • Assisting in coordinating and managing participation in and sponsorship of events, conferences, tradeshows, and webinars, including the creation of marketing materials, agendas, briefing documents and speeches
  • Assisting in managing and maintaining BDA’s social media, content and online assets including imagery and video content
  • Developing strong relationships with media and assist in responding to media enquiries
  • Researching and staying up to date on industry trends
  • Working directly with the Director to identify and execute project needs and specifications
  • Acting as a brand steward, upholding brand standards and guidelines to ensure consistency across the organisation
  • Helping to increase operational efficiency and improve workflow processes when and where required
  • Generating new ideas and provide recommendations on proposed activities and initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field and/or three years related work experience (agency experience is preferable)
  • Confident communicator and outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and layout/graphic design skills are essential
  • High degree of problem-solving abilities and an ability to think creatively
  • Superior project, time, and organisational management skills to deliver against tight deadlines, identifying challenges ahead of time
  • Flexibility with changes in task and priorities along with using sound judgment
  • Able to multitask and manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in social media and digital media, as well as posting on social media using Hootsuite or related content management tools
  • Knowledge of email distribution service, i.e., MailChimp, experience with managing website content, i.e., WordPress, would be an asset
  • Able to represent Bermuda and the organisation in a professional manner
  • Experienced with MS Office and other IT systems
