Hamilton, Bermuda, September 27, 2022 – The Bermuda Business Development Agency (BDA), is pleased to announce that SailGP, the purpose-led globally racing league, and Relm Insurance have come on board to sponsor the opening and closing receptions of the 2022 Bermuda Tech Summit. 

After two years of being held virtually, we are excited to be holding the fourth annual Bermuda Tech Summit in person at the Hamilton Princess Hotel and Beach Club from October 26-28. The Bermuda Tech Summit is presented by the BDA, in partnership with government’s Economic Development Department (EDD) and FinTech industry association, NEXT Bermuda.

The final day of the 2022 Tech Summit will begin with an ‘ESG and DABs’ panel featuring Darren Wolfberg, CEO and Board Member, Blockchain Triangle and Peter Adriaens, Director, Center for Digital Asset Finance, University of Michigan College of Engineering; Steven Rees Davies, Partner, Carey Olsen will moderate a ‘Building and Nurturing a Sustainable Tech Ecosystem’ panel with Kerem Kolcuoglu, Managing Partner, Penrose Partner; Fiona Beck, BDA board member, will discuss space, satellites and sub-sea cables in an ‘Out of this World Infrastructure’ panel with Joel Ogren, Assured Communications and Deon Doyle, Eastlink Bermuda; and Stan Stalnaker, Chief Strategy Officer & Founding Director, Hub Culture, will moderate a panel about the ‘Future of Technology’ with Sandro Ro,  Michael Casey and Denis Pitcher. 

The Bermuda Tech Summit is the signature event of Bermuda Tech Week which includes several ancillary events, such as the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce’s virtual fireside chat with Sinead Bovell on October 27, the Bermuda Economic Development Corporation’s (BEDC) ‘Power Up With Web’ in-person event on October 28, and the EDD’s Tech Education Day on October 31.
